Merry Christmas

Posting has been rather light recently, and I expect that to continue for a while. I’m quite enjoying doing other things, but I suspect I’ll be back to posting in the not too distant future. However, since it’s Christmas Eve, I thought I should at least wish everyone a Merry Christmas. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you a lovely day too. I was going to post some kind of cartoon that mocked climate “skeptics”, but my wife said that I have to be nice (’tis the season, after all). So, I’ll just post the following.

I no longer celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, and devote very little time to it as a cultural or commercial event deriving from the Roman Empire’s Saturnalia. However, I acknowledge its importance to many and do not begrudge their enjoyment of the time. Festivals are worthwhile.

Geez, that sounds pretentious. Let me just say happy holidays to you and yours, and thank you for your postings on this blog over the years.
